Halloween Oreos

Is it just me, or do the Halloween Oreos with orange creme taste better than the originals? And is it just me, or do Halloween Oreos dipped in white chocolate with a picture of a ghost taste even better? Well I guess you’ll just have to make your own to find out.

For this recipe you will need:

Halloween Oreos (or original)

1 package white chocolate candy coating

Black edible paint

Red icing (if making the monster with red eyes)

Step 1: Melt the white chocolate candy coating according to the directions on the package. Then begin dipping the oreos into the chocolate, evenly coating both sides. Leave to harden on parchment paper.

Step 2: Once hardened, trim the excess chocolate on the bottoms with a knife to create a clean circular look.

Step 3: Using your edible black paint and a food safe brush, begin painting designs onto your Oreos. I chose a Jack Skelington face, a ghost, a swirl design, and a monster with red glowing eyes. I’m not giving step-by-step instructions on how to create these designs because honestly, I just played around until I found what I could effectively paint free-hand. So look at the pictures below and try to copy my designs, or draw whatever else you want. Maybe a gravestone, jack-o-lantern, spider, witch, or a bat. The options are endless.

Step 4: Dot some red icing on the eyes of the monster if you choose, and now leave your spooky little cookies to dry. They are ready once the paint is dry to the touch.

I hope you try this fun, easy, and edible Halloween craft. Let me know what designs you chose in the comments below. Keep it spooky 🕸🦇
